2011 has been Adele's year, sweeping up awards and accolades left and right and topping the charts with her 21 album. But we bet if you ask the British songstress what she's most proud of, she'd say something to the effect of the impact her songs have had on people across the globe.
A simple search on Youtube generates thousands of people preforming their own version of Adele, and they got an unlikely Adele ally recently in the from of gossip blogger Perez Hilton. Hilton used Adele's "Someone Like You" for his latest "Can YOU Sing?" contest in which users submit their own brand of Adele. The cover contest wrapped up yesterday with some amazing contributions. The winning Adele cover went to Charlie Puth and Emily Luther, who turned the song into a duet, as well as modified the arrangement.
