Will Kimbra play at Perez Hilton's birthday?

New Zealand's favourite singer-songwriter is in such hot demand, Perez Hilton even wants her to play at his party.
Kimbra was invited via Twitter to perform at the Hollywood gossiper's CMJ festival party.
Not bad for a girl from Hamilton.
Our favourite ex-pat, who is now based in Melbourne, caught up with MSN's Magda Cortez when she was in Australia to promote The Sims 3 Pets, which she has written a track for in Simmish.
The 21-year-old spoke about what she plans to do next — and why she dared to bare all.
Though Kimbra has not chosen to follow in her family's medical footsteps (her father was the head doctor at the University of Waikato doctor and mother a nurse), she is sure to succeed in her musical path and has already made Australian musical history.
'Somebody That I Used To Know', a collaboration with Melbourne singer-songwriter Gotye, has been in the number one spot for six weeks — that's the longest-running number one single in Australia for 14 years.
Kimbra made her first music video on the popular New Zealand children's show What Now? with a video entitled 'Smile'.
She will certainly be doing a lot of that — and us Kiwis are smiling right along with her.

Because Dave Grohl is basically God, we’re pretty much going to agree with anything he says. Yup.

Luckily everything he does say makes perfect sense, especially his latest comments about the very lovely Adele and how amazing she is to the music industry.

Perez Hilton reports Dave talking about the British songstress: “It’s the music. People are blown away that Adele is selling so many records. I’m not. That record is great! She's got a beautiful voice and people are shocked by actual talent."

He also used the opportunity to take a dig at the state the music industry is currently in.

“Music should be more than ad placement, more than synthesised looping of a voice that’s been Auto-Tuned and an image made to look like a superhero or supermodel.”

Perez Hilton launches celebrity family website

On Monday, Hilton is expanding his work of serving up the latest dish on Hollywood stars by launching a new website focussed on celebrity families and kids called Perezitos.com.
He will offer parents advice from paediatricians and a wide variety of people he calls "mommy experts" to create original content. He sees the new website as a natural next step after toning down his rhetoric about the stars and broadening his blogging into other domains of health, fashion and fitness.
"It's very exciting because it's just another example of how celebrity news doesn't need to be negative. People love babies and children and pregnancies. People love weddings; people love new couples. It's not just about train wrecks and out-of-control celebrities," Hilton told Reuters.
Hilton, 33, whose real name is Mario Lavandeira, rose to fame after launching his celebrity blog, PerezHilton.com, in September 2004. It now averages 200 million page views a month, and Internet traffic monitoring site Alexa.com ranks it 310th out of all U.S.-based websites.
